High Intensity Burners: Aecometric High Intensity Burners have an extremely short and well defined flame. This flame is extremely stable and will not be affected even by a 60ft/s cross flow impinging directly on the flame. Aecometric High Intensity Burners have met emissions requirements as low as 0.02 lb/MMBTU CO coupled with 0.045 ib/MMBTU NOx.

Air Heaters : The Aecometric high intensity burner is used as the heat source for the air heater. The burnerís extremely short, well-defined flame allows the use of very small firing chambers with light weight fibre refractory. Fuel is provided to the burner via a centrally located gun. A swirling motion is induced in the combustion air by the burnerís volute vanes located at the base of the combustor. The swirling air creates a recirculating vortex in the combustor which causes intense mixing of fuel and air. This intense mixing ensures efficient and complete combustion of any fuel.

Sulphur Recovery Units: Sulphur Recovery Units (SRU) are used in refineries, natural gas processing and coal gasification plants, to recover elemental sulphur from a sour gas stream. Aecometric equipment has provided the highest level of reliability and performance in all areas of a SRU. Aecometricís products specifically designed for SRUs include: reaction furnace burners, reheat burners, tail gas incinerator burners, high energy ignitors and premix pilots. Equipment can be supplied individually for grassroot plants or retrofits. Previous projects have included complete incinerator packages, reaction chambers and inline reheat chambers.

Rotary Kiln Burners: The Aecometric Rotary Kiln Burner is an advanced high-performance burner designed specifically for rotary kiln drying, calcining and/or burning processes. Incinerators: Each incineration system uses the Aecometric High Intensity Burner as it's heat source. The intense secondary mixing generated within the firing chamber by the recirculating vortex of the Aecometric Burner allows Aecometric Incinerators to attain greater fuel efficiency than other incineration systems.

Valve Trains: Aecometric has supplied valve trains for both Aecometric units and other brands of equipment for the following liquids and gases: Natural Gas, Propane, Refinery Fuel, Gas, Oxygen, #2 Fuel Oil, #4 Fuel Oil, #6 Fuel Oil, Bunker C, Waste Oil, Air Stream and Low BTU Gas. Precalciners: The Aecometric Precalciner Burners were developed from the established base design of the Aecometric Rotary Kiln Burner.The burners have proven to be extremely rugged and reliable. The base cement plant precalciner burner design has been modified to allow use as a preheater burner in iron ore grate-kiln systems, a burner for vertical lime kilns, and a warm up burner for cement plants. Burners are available for firing virtually any solid, liquid or gaseous fuel.

Oil Handling Equipment: Aecometric has provided pump and heater sets for combustion equipment since 1972. Units are available for any grade of fuel oil in simplex, duplex or even triplex form. The units are supplied fully assembled on a skid with drip pan and are pressure tested to 1.5 times the design pressure. Heating of the oil can occur via heat transfer media such as steam or thermal oil, or via electrical heating elements.

Control Panels/Safeguards: Aecometric has been designing and building custom flame safeguards and control panels for combustion equipment since 1973. We have experience in designing units as simple as relay based panels to more sophisticated units which include PLCs and local PID control of the process. Aecometric control panels/flame safeguards can be supplied with other Aecometric Combustion Equipment or can be supplied for any other brand of equipment. Ladle Preheating Designs: Aecometric has been designing and supplying the most advanced Ladle Preheaters and Dryers available on the market since 1986. Aecometric Ladle Preheaters and Dryers are custom designed for each industrial plant. The systems are specifically designed to minimize operator intervention, minimize maintenance and to achieve a very high level of operational performance. Units are supplied complete with pre-piped fuel valve trains, flame safeguard, automatic control system, combustion air fan and ducting, and all necessary structures.
